HOW IT WORKS

1 Set up your covey coop in an area with heavy quail cover. One Covey Base Camp is the minimum recommended for every 40 acres of quality habitat.
    
2 In the fall, introduce flight-conditioned release birds at the Covey Base Camp, complete with a protective cover and innovative food and water tubes (specially designed to nourish ONLY quail, and not predator-attracting rodents).

    

3 Your Total Recall™ Electronic Call Bird emits an automatic “covey-up” call at key periods throughout the day to “anchor” your release birds to the area. (Available in Bobwhite, California quail, Chukar and Hungarian partridge)
         
4 Eventually, the quail grow less dependent on the site as a “base camp” and use it instead as a “convenience store.” If the quail undergo periods of stress, they’ll know where to go for their basic survival needs.

5 With solid habitat management, your released quail will behave and fly exactly like “wild” birds and will naturally reproduce.

The Covey Base Camp™ is a complete fall-release system.

A feeding and watering system designed for quail. Other food/water set-ups are buffet lines for all types of critters, including field mice that attract unwanted predators. Only the Covey Base Camp suspends food and water at the optimum height for quail. Both tubes are custom designed and rotary-molded. The feeder accommodates grain sorghum (milo) or feed wheat (the recommended grains) while the watering system’s unique nipples dispense water only when activated (quail use the nipples like they’re nipping dew from leaves). Covey Coop™ and cover give quail the protection they need.

The Covey Base Camp™, with its unique Tube Frame and Coop Cover, provides birds with protection from the elements and predators when they need it. The rugged, camouflaged cover repels harsh weather and blends in to minimize theft and tampering. Includes tie-down straps that allow you to easily attach native vegetation for enhanced concealment.

    

Note! The Covey Base Camp is also a very efficient way to provide supplemental feed and water for your native quail.
